This is the second order regarding court closure due to Hagibis, which developed into a Super Typhoon on October 7, 2019. The eye of Super Typhoon Hagibis passed north of Saipan during the late night of October 7, 2019. Damaging tropical storm force winds are expected to continue to affect Saipan throughout October 8, 2019. Consequently, it is hereby ordered that the District Court for the Northern Mariana Islands will remain closed on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 and will reopen at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 unless otherwise ordered. The island of Saipan is currently in Typhoon Condition I.
