On Thursday, April 23, 2026, the U.S. District Court for the Northern Mariana Islands, located in Gualo Rai, Saipan, will reopen to the public and will remain open during the following modified business hours: Monday through Friday (except federal holidays), 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. This schedule is subject to change due to any change in circumstances.
The suspension of filing deadlines, pursuant to General Order Nos. 26-00002, 26-00003, 26-00004, and 26-00005, is lifted effective Thursday, April 23, 2026. The Court recognizes the severe disruption of personal and work lives caused by Super Typhoon Sinlaku and will be inclined to grant requests to extend deadlines for a reasonable period.
Separate orders will issue in individual cases setting new hearing dates and filing deadlines that were continued or suspended during the period of the Courts closure.
