Due to the expected arrival of Super Typhoon Sinlaku on the evening of Monday, April 13, 2026, as tropical storm winds, with its super typhoon strength winds possibly exceeding 150 mph all day Tuesday and Wednesday, and its tropical storm winds continuing until Thursday morning, as it passes over the island of Saipan, the District Court for the Northern Mariana Islands will remain closed for business starting Tuesday, April 14, 2026, and reopen on Friday, April 17, 2026 at 8:00 a.m., unless otherwise ordered.
All cases currently scheduled for a hearing on Thursday, April 16, 2026 and Friday, April 17, 2026, are hereby vacated and will be rescheduled when the court opens for regular business. Any court filings due while the court is closed shall be deemed timely filed if filed when the court opens for regular business. The CM/ECF electronic filing system will remain online, unaffected by this weather closure.
