REAL ID not required for entry into Courthouse

Saturday, May 10, 2025

The REAL ID Act, which went into effect on May 7, 2025, mandates that individuals must have a REAL ID compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card to board domestic flights and enter secure federal facilities, including military bases.

To protect the constitutional rights of individuals and provide equal access to justice, REAL IDs will not be required to enter the courthouse. Drivers’ licenses and other state-issued photo identification cards remain acceptable forms of identification for those seeking access to the courthouse.
