On July 6, 2026, Super Typhoon Bavi transited the Mariana Islands. Subsequently, at noon of July 7, 2026, the Governor of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands declared an “all clear” from the emergency conditions during Super Typhoon Bavi’s passage.
In view of the lack of island-wide power and water, disruption of telecommunications, and ongoing recovery efforts, the U.S. District Court for the Northern Mariana Islands, located in Gualo Rai, Saipan, will reopen to the public starting at 1:00 p.m. of July 8, 2026, and resume its regular business hours. The Court’s regular business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except on legal holidays. The intake counter at the Clerk’s Office closes during the lunch hour from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. and at 4:30 p.m. each business day, except for the last business day of each month, when the intake counter closes at 3:00 p.m.
