Court Closure Due to Typhoon Mawar
With the island of Saipan still in Tropical Storm Condition I as Super Typhoon Mawar slowly moves away from the Marianas, and with instructions from the Governor’s Office to stay indoors as the threat of strong winds, heavy rain, and flood risks associated with Super Typhoon Mawar remain, the District Court for the Northern Mariana Islands will remain closed today, May 25, 2023. Heavy rainfall and damaging winds of 39 mph or more are expected to continue to impact Saipan through this morning and possibly into the afternoon. The court will reopen on Friday, May 26, 2023, unless otherwise ordered.
The CM/ECF electronic filing system will remain online, unaffected by this weather closure.
