Court Closure Due to Tropical Storm Bolaven
Due to the increasing threat of Tropical Storm Bolaven, the Governor of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands has declared Typhoon Condition III for the islands of Saipan, Tinian and Rota, with possible damaging winds of 39 MPH or more on Tuesday morning and typhoon force winds of 74 MPH or greater possible on Tuesday afternoon or evening. With the island of Saipan currently under a Typhoon Condition III warning, the District Court for the Northern Mariana Islands will be closed Tuesday, October 10, 2023 through Wednesday October 11, 2023, to have the public stay secure while the typhoon passes through the islands. The court will reopen on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. unless otherwise ordered.
The CM/ECF electronic filing system will remain online, unaffected by this weather closure.
